David Ross is a New York based actor and writer. Born in Los Angeles, California his interest in acting solidified in high school when he became very involved with Speech and Debate, and was ranked among the top few performers in the country two years in a row, in the National Forensic League. He also was the recipient of the Wayne E. Brown award, and is a California State Champion.

David's original comedy has been featured on Funny or Die, Huffington Post, Jezebel, CollegeHumor, MTV.com, Mashable, Digg, Glamour and many more sites. He recently finished writing a new play. He is currently at work on a pilot and film he is penning, as well as more content for the webseries "Ben and David." In 2015 the first 1/2 hour episode of Ben and David was released on Benanddavid.com. Ben and David are now providing terrible advice to actors regularly on backstage.com.
AS AN ACTOR:
In 2004, he graduated from the University of California at Berkeley where he won the Mark Goodson Prize for Distinguished Theatrical Talent. He also attended the British American Drama Academy in London during his undergraduate time.
In 2007, David received his MFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program. Upon leaving NYU that year he acted opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow in the film Two Lovers, directed by James Gray. He also was featured on ABC's series Cashmere Mafia, and acted in the New York Times Critic's Pick production Vengeance at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
David has also starred on an episode of the first season of The Good Wife on CBS, opposite Archie Panjabi. In the film The Rebound, David acts opposite Catherine Zeta Jones in a small scene of Bart Freundlich's film. David also starred in the Academy Award Winning Short Film God of Love, directed by Luke Matheny. More recently David appeared on Mozart in The Jungle and is a regular in the Fast Company comedy series. In the Indie world, David acted in the 2014 Indie Film The Weekend, and also the 2015 short film People Are Becoming Clouds which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
David has acted in many other Off Broadway and Regional Theaters where he has originated or workshopped new material by Gina Gionfriddo, Anne Washburn, Jason Grote, Adam Rapp, Lucas Hnath, Deb Laufer, Philip Himberg, Megan Mostyn Brown, Edith Freni, Cusi Cram, Dorothy Fortenberry, Roger Hedden and Ron Fitzgerald. David has been in a number of commercials and done voice over work on numerous TV and Radio spots. David has found himself commercially acting almost exclusively with football stars he knows very little about.
